Witty is a two-player vocabulary game; here you play the computer. The board is a grid of 25 terms from one APUSH period. Each turn you hold three definitions: pick one, then pick the term it defines, and that square is yours. Four in a row wins — across, down, or diagonal. The definitions in your hand decide which squares you can reach at all.
Print it: 15 two-player kits per period, plus Fox, a second game on the same board where you hide shapes and name terms to find your opponent's. Find them on the APUSH page.
You get three definitions a turn. Click one, then click the term on the board that it defines. That square is yours.
Miss, and that card is gone for the turn. Your other cards stay live.
When a square is claimed, its card leaves the deck. Every card left in the deck matches a square still open.
Four squares in a row — across, down, or diagonal. The FREE square in the middle counts toward both players' lines.
Board full with no line: draw.
You can only take a square you hold the definition for. To block a line, you need the right card.
